2 The European Research Area Lisboa 2000: Europa som ”den mest konkurransedyktige og dynamiske kunnskapsbaserte økonomien i verden”. Barcelona 2002: Undersatsing på FoU i Europa: Mål om 3% av BNP innen 2010 EU trenger flere forskere. Behovet er 1.2 millioner flere forskningspersonell, hvorav 700.000 forskere (Brussels, July 2003: COM(2003) 436 final) Satsing på Human Resources and Mobility i 6RP - mobilitet, forskerutdanning og rekruttering. Budsjett 1,580 milliarder euro – 9% av 6RP.

3 Marie Curie Actions Ikke begrenset av fag- eller sektorgrenser Hendig prosjektformat Overkommelig søknadsprosedyre Kontraktsforhandlinger og ledelse av prosjekter er relativt håndterlig Man deltar i EU-forskningen og får relevant, internasjonal erfaring Tilgang til kompetanse, samtidig som man får vist seg frem i en internasjonal setting Men: Hard konkurranse! Kun de beste søknadene innvilges. Ha fokus på aktivitetens målsetninger og evaluerings- kriterier! Snakk med NCP og andre med erfaring fra MCA.
