Klyngens Visjon og Formål Etablere en internasjonal energiklynge som skal bidra til utvikling og omstilling innen olje og gass samtidig som klyngen stimulerer til utvikling av lavkarbon og fornybarløsninger som sikrer større bærekraft i energisektoren For those of you attending this meeting last year IRIS presented the process of creating an oil and gas cluster in the region with focus on subsurface solutions. I came in as the Managing Director last fall Meet with Statoil Meet Shell to take the chairman role Based on Statoil and Shells feedback and requirements we had to go back and redo the entire strategy for the cluster Meet with 55 industry leaders in the region to discuss the purpose need and willingness to form such a collaboration model, and it was surprisal how welcome such an initiative was received. Norwegian Energy Solutions is now established as samvirkeforetak, and is no longer a only oil & gas but a energy cluster, which we will explain more about.

2 If we look at the map there are several oil and gas cluster in Norway but none in this region who has the entire value chain of competence within Oil&Gas and thereby greatest value potential by forming such a collaboration platform. These are all under the cluster program for Innovasjon Norge and financially supported by the program. As you see all major areas such as, Oslo, Kristiansand, Bergen and the West Coast has all major clusters which has been operating for years.
