Encyclopedias Handbooks Reference lists Full text databases Reference databases Citation databases How do you find quality information on a certain theme or subject about which you have limited knowledge. You could use google or another search engine, but as you these engines contain this and that and are surely not limited to peer-reviewed information. So, instead use the services we have paid nearly 60 million kr for.

Disse hjelpemidlene skiller seg fra fra det dere kanskje er vant til å bruke ved at de har vært gjennom en form for kvalitetskontroll Dette er fagfellevurderte kilder og betaltjenester (som Viola nevnte kjøper vi tilgang for rundt 70 millioner kr i året)

These are encyclopedias in the library. Show examples. You may of course use Wikipedia and in the sciences the information is often of high quality. But there is always some doubt: is the article written by a competent person, will it change tomorrow? The encyclopedias in the library are peer-reviewed and they cover as you see a lot of subjects.
