Today – Upstream Per i dag så er det olje og gass som fremdeles er hovedfokus for ClampOn – men vi ser helt klart at det er mange potensielle markedområder der ute hvor de hadde hatt god nytte av våre produkter. I disse nedgangstider er det gunstig å se litt bredere i markedet enn tidligere, og vi har et mål om å også begynne å markedsføre oss innen downstream i tiden som kommer, mot raffeneri og petrokjemi – der er det et hav av rørledninger som har behov for ulike condition monitorings utstyr for å optimalisere produksjon og vedlikehold. Vi gleder oss til dette arbeidet videre, og hvor det ender? I overmorgen kan vi muligens gå enda litt videre, ja mulighetene er mange.. Alt som roterer, svinger, lekker og som lager høyfrekvent lyd er av interesse for oss – men det må være økonomi i markedet, vi har ikke et ønske om å gå inn i lavkost markedet, vi leverer avanserte produkter som skal løse vanskelige og kostbare problemer.

15 ClampOn Crack Monitor Based on Acoustic Emission (AE)
Condition monitoring tool Based on Acoustic Emission (AE) Continuous, real time monitoring Health monitoring – CRACK – Covers a large area – 200 m Non-intrusive, non-destructive Permanent/Retrofit When metal is subjected to stress, microscopic cracks will start forming within the material. When this occurs Acoustic Emission is released, which is defined as the rapid release of transient elastic waves. This emission is detected by the ClampOn DSP Spectrum Analyser and processed using ClampOn’s AE software, which provides user friendly advanced processing, and analysis.

20 Antenna Installation No need for removal of cladding
The antennas can be inserted through small holes. The antennas are permanently installed on the pipeline

21 Field operation By using a portable microwave analyzer, the inspector plugs the analyzer into the antennas already installed on the pipeline and takes a reading. 22 CUI Monitoring Concept
Install rings, run Baseline data. The recorded data show a clean insulation and will be a good Baseline for further monitoring. Først kjøres en baseline som referanse for videre måling. Man har antennene installert ved startpunkt og en reflektor i enden av målepunktet. Denne sender signal i retur og viser om signal blir svekket på veien. Vann og rust skaper også refleksjon til antennene og er på den måten at vi kan detektere dette så nøye.

23 CUI Monitoring Concept
Install rings, run Baseline data. 3 months later, run Measurement #1 ( Water and corrosion product detected) The new measurement has indicated that there is 3 areas that we would need to look further into. The CUI monitoring system can’t tell if it is Water or Corrosion. Her er det 3 målepunkt som må sjekkes nærmere, her er det indikasjon på vann og rust – for øyeblikket vet vi ikke hva som er hva.

Install rings, run Baseline data. The new measurement is interesting – we now only have 2areas that we would need to look further into. This time only the corrosion product is present and that means water has dried up. 3 months later, run Measurement #1 ( Water and corrosion product detected) 6 months later, run Measurement #2 ( Water dried out only corrosion product detected) Vannet har tørket opp og er vekke, bare rust som ligger igjen etter det vi ser på utslagene.
