2 1. Minutes from last meeting

3 2. Our new PhD study program.
• Merging the two current programs “ComputerScience” (Gjøvik) “Information Technology” (Gløshaugen and Kalvskinnet).                 • We have been asked by the IE faculty to send a description of the new IDI PhD program by April 20th at the latest. • The description shall contain: a) The new name         b) The new “official” description. We will do this by merging/updating our two existing descriptions:                                                               • Can we decide on a suggestion for a) now? And appoint a small group who will complete b)?.

4 3. The “Webinar” seminar series.
• IDI wants to establish a continuous seminar series for the scientific staff Each lasting 1 hour, organized as streamed presentations 3 seminars are foreseen this spring                 The 1 hour should be shared among our three sites. • We need to           a) Decide on the time schedule. Earlier proposals                                               Seminar 1: April 24-28, Seminar 2: May 8-12, Seminar 3: May 22-24                A proposal at the last LG meeting was to establish a fixed peridoical scheme from the start, for example once a month           In any case we need to decide the exact times for the first few seminars           b) Establish a practical set-up for the streamed seminars.               - We have the expertise within FU!

5 4. Our PhD seminar this spring.
• In Gjøvik in mid June. • Ellen is working on the organizational and practical details. - status?  • We need to decide the content of the seminar.

6 Vi må ha bindende påmelding.
Under følger en ganske røff oppstilling av hva PhD samling på Gjøvik innebærer. Jeg har også sendt en forespørsel til Berg-Hansen om å komme med tilbud på «pakkereise», ulike alternativer for ca personer. Sender over dette til deg og Letizia så snart jeg har noe fra dem. Jeg tror vi må regne med å bruke noe slik som  – ,-  på arrangementet. Kan vi bruke opp til ,- på dette alt avhengig av transportvalg? Det er også avhengig om det blir 1 eller 2 overnattinger – har Letizia noen føringer der? Skal vi sette en grense på antall deltakere? Vi må ha bindende påmelding. PhD samling Gjøvik juni Sjekker med Gjøvik om ev. Fjellstua ev andre lokaler er ledig i dette tidsrommet. 1 Tog 12.6 kl ankomst Lillehammer Minipris 299 pr. person. Grupperabatt ca personer? 7 5. Revision of the PhD programmes under the IE faculty.
• A committee has been established at IE FU to look into a revision of our PhD studies. • Input are the Evaluation report from the international committee of last year, and new guidelines from international bodies like EU, ITN, CAESAR. • Initial, preparatory work will be done this spring. I am a member of this committee, but only temporarily, given my sabbatical the next academic year. We need to appoint a member of this committee from the fall on.

8 6. Organization of IDI FU from the fall onwards.
• We agreed on some principles in our last meeting: • What more do we need to hand over to the new leadeship? Names? Fra : Lokasjon Rolle Antall - Leder 1 Gløshaugen Faggruppe-repr PhD stip (inkl. Kalvskinnet) Adm. Sekr. 3 Gjøvik Faggr./sted-repr PhD stip Kalvskinnet Leder er en egen rolle, uavhengig av lokasjon og faggruppe Nestleder velges blant medlemmene i FU Leder blir instituttets representant i IE FU, og nestleder blir vararepr.
