Bruke beregningsplanen SAP Best Practices for CRM-konfigurasjon er delt i separate konfigurasjonsenheter, såkalte building blocks. Installasjonsinnsatsen for en building block i persondager er oppført i kolonnen Installation Effort per Building Block in PDs. Konfigurasjonen av et scenario krever bestemte building blocks. Raden Effort for Single Scenario Installation inneholder innsatsen som kreves for å installere bare dette scenariet, uten at noe annet scenario er installert på forhånd. Raden Effort for Incremental Scenario Installation inneholder innsatsen for å legge til dette scenariet i allerede installerte scenarier. I dette tilfellet er innsatsen redusert fordi samme building block kan brukes av forskjellige scenarer. Det vil si at hvis en building block allerede er installert for ett scenario, er det ikke noe behov for å installere det på nytt for et annet scenario. Hvis hele SAP Best Practices for CRM skal installeres, må innsatsen for alle building blocks oppsummeres.
